Frequently Asked Questions

Which FEITIAN security keys use USB-C?

USB-C models include the K39 and the K28e micro key, the K40 and K40+ with NFC, the K44 with USB-C and Lightning, and the K41 and K32 with NFC and Bluetooth. Fingerprint models on USB-C include the K26, K26+, K49+ and K43 AllinPass.

Do USB-C security keys work with Android phones and tablets?

Yes. The K40 and K40+ list Android among their supported operating systems, plug directly into USB-C devices and also tap over NFC. The K41 and K32 add Bluetooth for teams that move between laptops, tablets and phones.

Should I choose a USB-C or a USB-A security key?

Choose by the ports your users have. USB-C suits newer laptops, tablets and phones, while USB-A suits desktops, docking stations and older laptops. The BioPass fingerprint line, for example, includes the K26 for USB-C and the K45 for USB-A ports.

Is there a USB-C key that also fits iPhones with a Lightning port?

Yes. The K44 has both a USB-C and a Lightning connector, so the same key signs in on USB-C computers and on older iPhones with a Lightning port. It also supports Smart Card PIV, OATH-HOTP/TOTP and OpenPGP.
